Willow Club

who are we?

Willow Club, managed by Brosna Educational Centres CLG (“Brosna”), is inspired by the spirit of Opus Dei. It aims to provide human and spiritual formation to young girls, fostering and enriching their personal growth.

To achieve this, Willow Club offers a wide variety of activities that complement this spiritual formation, such as leisure activities, events, and plans for the whole family.

Inspired by this charism, Willow Club was created through the initiative of a group of families seeking to provide their children with both human and spiritual formation.

With this initiative in mind, Willow Club offers a series of activities every Saturday that promote personal development in all its areas, both personal and spiritual. These activities include cooking classes, arts and crafts, outdoor games, as well as spiritual formation, all provided in a close and family-friendly environment.

In addition to the weekly activities, the club organizes special events and programs for families, encouraging the participation of all its members and strengthening family bonds in an environment of respect and mutual growth. To achieve this goal, Willow Club fundamentally relies on the families that participate, also offering formation for them, so this formation can be continued at home.

In this way, Willow Club becomes a space where families can enjoy, learn, and grow, always guided by the principles and values of the Catholic faith, inspired by this charism.

What does Willow Club offer?

Willow Club is a club inspired by the spirit of @opusdei_en, an institution of the Catholic Church whose charism focuses on seeking holiness in the midst of the world through family, professional work, and daily life.

At Willow Club, we dedicate ourselves to this mission by offering Christian formation to children and their families. 🌟

🙏🏽 Christian and human formation: This formation helps us deepen our faith and live it in our daily lives. Our goal is to strengthen our relationship with God and act according to the values of the Gospel.

🕊️ Spiritual direction and accompaniment: If you wish, you can receive personalized guidance that will provide you with advice and support to carry out your daily tasks with God at the center of your life. This accompaniment will help you discern your decisions and find a clearer path in your spiritual life.

Confessions: We offer the opportunity to confess every week with a priest. “Your interior life must be precisely this: to start… and to start again.” — St. Josemaría, The Way (Point 292).

Why Willow Club?

The name Willow Club and its logo—a tree trunk with green branches—serve as a powerful metaphor for growth, resilience, and connection. These elements reflect our mission to provide spiritual and human formation to families in Ireland.

The Willow: A Symbol of Flexibility and Strength
The willow tree, which grows near water, symbolizes the ability to adapt and thrive amidst adversity. Its flexibility reflects the inner strength needed to overcome life’s challenges, while its deep roots represent the solidity of core values. The branches of the willow remind us of the importance of personal development, embracing new experiences, and cultivating virtues for continuous growth.
The Trunk: Core of Our Essence
The tree trunk symbolizes the heart of Willow Club: the integration of spirituality and humanity. This solid foundation nourishes and supports families, helping them remain steadfast in their journey toward holiness. The green branches emerging from the trunk reflect a vibrant life full of renewal and growth through the formation of human virtues.
Connection to the Mission of Opus Dei
The mission of Opus Dei is to help people seek holiness in their daily lives by sanctifying ordinary activities and seeing the divine in them. Willow Club was born from this same spirit—to be a space where families can deepen their spiritual roots, grow personally, and extend their branches toward a fulfilling and meaningful life.

Thus, Willow Club invites each family to be like the willow tree: flexible and strong, with deep roots in faith and branches that reach toward holiness in the world. Through the sanctification of daily life, love for work, and personal growth, Willow Club provides an environment where families can thrive in all dimensions, united in the pursuit of a greater purpose.
